Application Hosting Services
The provision of application processing from a shared infrastructure hosted and managed within an Atos Origin Data Center. The infrastructure is fully managed and maintained.
Mainframe Services
Comprehensive Mainframe Services centered around the provision of system management. A full range of options is available including hosting, operations and application processing plus the provision of hardware and software environments. (add link to AIS/mainframe on global site).
Server Management
A broad range of services for all Windows, Unix, Linux and AS/400 platforms. The core hardware options include high availability clustering, virtualization and dedicated hardware. The support options include full operating software provision, management and monitoring.
Server Consolidation and Virtualization
Merging applications and data onto larger platforms using concepts such as server farm consolidation, partitioning and virtualization.
Server virtualization stops the trend of an ever-increasing number of servers with related costs and risks, but without cutting down on service. Virtualization technology is not new, but the major development is that it is now available for use, and sufficiently proven and reliable, across all technical platforms. This is a key element to provide a consistent server consolidation methodology across all technical platforms.
Many servers run at very low utilization rates, as low as 8-15% for most Windows servers. Using virtualization these systems can be combined on fewer boxes, saving hardware costs. Other areas where virtualization adds real value are test environments, disaster recovery architectures, scalability models, resilience models and en-of-life issues surrounding hardware and software.
Atos Origin provides a vendor and platform neutral practice for IT infrastructure consolidation. It is based on a consistent methodology and toolset, including the use of our own unique assessment tooling, based on three main phases: a Quick Scan, a detailed assessment and the implementation.
Collaboration
The provision of specialist tools and infrastructure to aid collaborative working between people in different locations. Within this service, support is provided for messaging, project management, SMS and fax applications at central server level.
Directory services
A service to monitor, manage and administrate changes to central directories, such as Microsoft Active Directory. In current IT environments, directories are becoming ever more complex and challenging to manage. Structuring directory services correctly can make a drastic improvement to the way services are provisioned and managed.
Proxy services
Provision of proxy server deployment and management to better manage corporate internet bandwidth.
Database Management (Oracle, SQL,…)
Delivery of Database Management. Aimed primarily at the technical environment, this service provides monitoring, tuning, migrations, reorganization, backup and recovery.
Middleware Technical Management
This service provides technical management of middleware software objects for use in integration infrastructures and/or component-based application platforms.
Messaging
Provision and management of messaging applications such as Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes, to ensure the efficient operation of corporate email services. Options include spam filtering, anti-virus, mobility and archive services.
